Blog's Conclusion

My experience forming this blog has been a truly extraordinary . Helped me not only to practice my writing in English, if not also gave me the opportunity to do a critical analysis of  different issues and have the privilege of listening to the opinions and point of view of different types of people (with different ages and social context). This was my first time making a blog,  and if the future presents  to me the opportunity to do another one,  without any doubt I would do it.  I urge everyone that if they have the opportunity to form some kind of a blog like this, do it. Since it is a great opportunity for many to think about important issues as war, education, media and all these things that are important analyze to get afloat our society. Things that we don't usually think, because of the life that we  are living. Not just  think about these things,  also to listen to others and together reach certain conclusions. I'm  very pleased with this project and grateful with the invitation to do it. I will like to thanks for all these people that take a time to read some of my conclusion about the subjects previously mentioned during the course of this blog.

The World

The theme of this week is a very broad topic with a lot of things that we could say. This week, I did not do an informal interview. I have to say certain things that worry me. I would like to start with my dislike about the hearts of people with whom we live. The 20th century, was a hard century for many, we went through really difficult moments. We were victims of two world wars, who unwillingly stole from us our hope. It is true, that in part it left us a bit of a social maturity and our fantastic's postmodern qualities. Since then, we have seen life from a point of view where everything is relative,  now it is getting out of our  hands. We reach to the point where happiness does not affect us and the pain doesn't hurt us. We live in a world that is a set of injustice and inhumanity, we have set aside our values. We are slowly forgetting our neighbor, that we are a family, that we need one another. Every day we see in the news as the number of crimes, suicides and depressive people that have soared. People do not love their neighbor, yet do not love themselves. Couples divorce. Mothers cry for their children and the children do not respect their mothers. But the worst thing of all of this is that  we have lost hope. We have decided to forget about the people who die in Africa. We have forgotten to say good morning, or smile in a genuine way. We have lost faith and desire to succeed.

I want to take the time to remember that the only thing that we have is the hability to change the world ourselves. We are the world. All together will gradually have to change starting with, smiling at people who come on our way. To help our neighbor cut the grass, handing out food to homeless peolpe at Christmas or, giving a hug to anyone who feels lonely. It is time to pick the pieces and recover what was lost. Move forward as we have done on other occasions. It is time to look inside in each one of us and take up humanity that we have forgotten. It is time to get up, recover and give the best of us for a better world, for our children and future generations.

Education

"Education is what everybody receives, many transmit and few have." Karl Kesel. Everyone from very young  are forced to go to school. Where we learn to be ourselves, develop social skills, learn how to make friends, where are educated  little by little to understand our environment and at the same time have the capacity to improve it, live in a community and help our fellow human beings. They teach us about  math, science, languages, sociology and art. Over the years, guide us so that we are same to us, we know what surrounds us in every way. In this way, re-evaluate our environment, appreciate the fascinating thing we have and improve what does not work. Come to our own conclusions. Find within ourselves that desire and love for culture, reading and science. Activate and put our creativity into practice. Activate this desire of knowledge and educate ourselves. As it says the France of Arturo Graf "excellent teacher is one who teaches little, gives birth in students a desire to learn". Education is extremely important to ourself and collective development. Knowledge and culture helps us not only to understand our reality, but that of others. In this way were able to be more understanding and empathetic that will take us to improve our society. It helps us to understand the reason of our successes and our failures, weaknesses and triumphs. To improve the fascinating thing we have and remedy what have failed. Education is the weapon for many of our current problems to which we do not find solution.

Therefore, we can say that if we educate our children we will be fighting the crime of the future. Since when faced with a difficult decision, rather than choose to commit a crime to get to where they intend to take other ways and tools to open it provided education. This will at the same time, bring more security, reinforcement of values, respect and understanding. Education is really a fascinating and indispensable for each of us, necessary to develop our virtues, our creativity and remedy many common misconceptions. I want to emphasize that education is a process where the interest of the student and the inspirational role of the teacher is essential to activate that spark of knowledge. This is a problem that we are facing as a society for a long time and we are not realizing. In our country, many of our children are not being educated in the right way. What we are doing wrong?, that we are failing?. Here I focus on this week's informal interview. Talk to a group of young people where interviewed about factors that could push our children often get to extreme cases where alleged hate school. Between the guys with whom to talk, had two guys from middle school, three high school and others were college students.

These guys expressed their disenchantment with the school was in the environment and treatment of teachers. Teachers treat boys and military. They not let them interact, express their ideas, curiosities, do not let them eat and many times not even go to the bathroom. Something that may lead to an atmosphere really tortured and contrary to what a nice learning classroom is supposed to be. Not allowing them to speak or express their curiosities and concerns are depriving them of how valuable that can be the dialogue. Where you learn amazing things and knowledge are shared. Not allowed to the child or the teenager put their ideas and creativity. Just imagine uncomfortable so that it could be for a young person or a child sitting all day in a seat without be able to interact or express themselves. Where you have limited needs to do or eat if you're hungry, really a nightmare. The environment and our teachers are essential to encourage that fire by knowledge. This is something that many of you readers have experienced it and understand that I am exactly talking about. It is our responsibility to educate and pass on that love for education to the more young people. That love of learning, reading and knowledge. I think that we must reevaluate our education systems, already somewhat old and contrary to the young people of today. In this way in an environment more pleasant, the student take best advantage allowing you to express your ideas and coming to their own conclusions. Leaving him the benefit of the doubt and giving confidence so that curiosity from seizing it and consequently reach the love for knowledge. "Never consider the study as an obligation, but as an opportunity to penetrate into the beautiful and wonderful world of knowledge". Albert Einstein

Movies

The theme of this week,  are the movies. Instead to talk about one movie or the fantastic that it is to go to the theater with our friends. I Prefer to discuss the influence that they have in us. As we  know, the movies has entertained us for many decades, since when cinema started in black and white with their silent movies, until now in days with the fantastic 3D movies that have been fashionable . We love movies but this is more that a entertainment. This dramatization of real life is of a  high influence to the behaviors and habits of humanity. The social, cultural and psychological  effects of the movies  has brought as a consequence many questions, hypotheses, and theories through the history of cinema. The movies are the  reflection of who we are, our lives, our fears, concerns and visions, and  plays a significant role in our personalities, what we think, opens our  minds to see the world in a different way.  I would say that the movie's influence bring us another way of thinking, in this way transforming us. It is important to emphasize that this, like other arts has served to communicate different cultures, sharing situations, fears, anxieties of different societies throughout the world. Without forgetting that in the same way that movies teach us fantastic things, the also teach  us many  wrong ideas of  reality.

This is quite a devatible theme. A subjective view would say that the most people affected by the movies' influence are our children. They, who are  still without a  clear idea of what real life is,  the world, what is reality and what is fantasy. In this way they become more vulnerable to the influence of all means of communication, Movies, media, radio, etc. Considering that 70% of the current films have contained violence, sex and content that is  not meant  for children, Leaving clearly a big problem. On the other hand some studies  show that different movies, not only affect our children and  youths, the also cause traumatic effects, phobias, anxiety and insomnia in adults. And this not suppose to be a  secret, since all of us  have a family member or friend who has been notably "influenced" by some movie. In conclusion I would say that the task of each one of us is to have a clear idea of the influence that the movies could cause in each one of us. We must work our world with bad influence from movies is no longer an issue.

Celebrity

The theme of this week are celebrities. I instead choose a celebrity or do an interview of what people think about those people that we make famous. I gave the task of analyze, why these people, normal and common as any of us, have the power to make us spend our money, lost our time and wish their lives. When we are in the supermarket, when we walk down the street, when we are in our homes watching television or listen to the radio, we are constantly bombarded by different common people that many see as gods. We wish their hair, their clothes, their houses and in more extreme cases often we would like to be  like them. What makes these people's life be more valuable than ours?. We are not happy with who we are?, because if it is in this way, we have very serious problems of self-esteem. Or is it more like admiration?, then if it is it, can we admire a person to feel less  and wish uncontrollably, spending our money and hours of life to want the lives of others. Well, suppose that it is rather a simple admiration. Because these people, perhaps can buy things that many wish?. Or they receive attention, desire, admiration and importance that we want?. That admiration and fame that often we give to different types of people, for stupid things, is not something of today . Through history there have been different types of famous people, that somehow it became ridiculously admired. This "admiration" indisputably leads us to want to be like them. To become obsessed to the point of resorting to a plastic surgery to obtain silhouette of Jennifer López, or the lips of Angelina Jolie. Or we spend hundreds of dollars trying to transform our hair that  had that actress in the last interview. Or change our closet each season to imitate their style of dress, their combinations, that automatically becomes ours.

Admire in a  obsessive way a  celebrities is something really  worrying. When we leave our life to live the life of others, where is our essence?. Where we leave what we really like, and  our creativity?. We become puppets, imitating absolutely everything. They manipulate us and become millionaires at the expense of our pocket. Are their ideas, acts and favorites are  better than ours?.  I think that we have to analyze what we are doing. Let dress like the artist on the cover of that magazine, for the simple fact that she is famous, when you can have your own style, your own hair, your own forms of acting, thinking...your own life. You can admire those who do good things but, not obsessed with the lives of others and forgetting who we are. Focus on our life and stop to aspire to be like a celebrity. Stop dreaming about their lives and give value and importance to those who we really are.

Media

We know as media to the varied information presented by radio, television, newspaper, magazines and press. That somehow touches us,  influences us, built our personalities, instructs us, inform  or many times also misinforms us. Currently the media  becomes part of our lives, influencing us in different ways from very early ages. So our ideologies, aspirations and beliefs as a society are based somewhat on the information it has presented through history. There are few criticisms and investigations that arise against and in favor of the effect of this on society. Many, thank the media for the availability of information and communication that it provides. Others make it responsible for many modern ills. This week rather than conduct an informal interview, I met with a group of college classmates which presented their vision about the media. They presented several factors, both positive and negative. Once more went afloat, the advantage of communication that it give to us, the availability of information and access to news and the global connection. But were the vast majority disagree with the way that they distort reality, information. Many times take things in context. The advertising, which makes us very often compulsive. And the  public information that presents to our young people and children under the age of 18.

In subjective opinion media is a great way to keep in touch with the rest of the world. Affordable to information, news, ideas and cultures of others. Uniting us, giving us the opportunity to share ideas, visions, ways of life with the rest of the world. But many times, the same way the information provided by the media is used incorrectly or not so good things or tools are shared. Keeps us attached to the outside and often us away from our nearest reality. It distorts reality, causing very serious consequences. But despite this it still has the merit of how much we've grown as society by globalization. And I would say that it is our responsibility to reassess our media, and somehow modify what is hurting us.

Marriage

My parent's Wedding

We know as marriage to the union between two  people for a contractual relationship recognized by law, religion, or society.  This is carry out through a religious, cultural, philosophical or legal rite. This will depend on the culture, circumstances and beliefs of each one. Marriage for the spouses, brings a series of responsibilities, rights and social duties. Through history it has a number of religious, economic, political and social purpose. In the informal interview this week, I realized that making a general conclusion about what people think of marriage, it is not easy. Since each person has a quite particular idea about marriage. The idea and importance that is given to this, changes with age, social and religious circumstances of each person. For example, you could see a bit of difference between the young and adults people. Where the young see  it only as part of a tradition, cultural and ancient act,  that is  irrelevant to many things. In other way, adult see it  as a  unquestionably needed act for the formalization of a family. However is curious how through  the years has become a more cheerful, celebrated and happy activity , but at the same time more fragile and optional.

In subjective opinion, the marriage is nothing more than a cultural event and this precisely gives  it "importance". Moreover, in what love it is concerned, I don't see it as a necessary act to make two people love, respect and endure one another. I would say that the idea of marriage has already changed between the young people of the last generations. The social circumstances has prompted them to be a bit less structured than past generations. In addition the actual circumstances,  prompted us to focus a little more in our self. To be more practical. We like the changed, the new and fast, we are more relative and a little more "changing". This could be another explanation  for what the ideas about marriage have been changing. Generations change together with the ideas, religions, traditions and culture. It is not a surprise that the idea of marriage changes and continue changing in response to the cultural evolution of the generations.

Religion

If we study the history of mankind we realize that since its inception, we have distinguished ourselves by religions. From our ancestors we have believed for some reason or another in the life after death and in Supreme beings. Who we are, where we come from? where are we going?. These are questions that have led us to form different religions and belief in Supreme beings. The human is  religious by nature. But whats  leads us to be religious? What is religion? Why this is so important for us.?; These are interesting questions that I did this week in my informal interview; This can be a very open, very abstract and very general topic. Each one has its peculiar response. For many, their religion is something very sacred, untouchable, the reason for her life, the reason for its existence. For what they do everything. Many others saw religion as something more external to our "nature", as other passion of man such as sport and politics. Regardless of the ideas that they have about the religions must be clear that the human is a very religious being,  an this is so important and significant in our history. The idea of religion varies depending on social circumstances behind us . And they  are so many young people and adults as an idea of what  is religion.

For me religion is the comfort that man needs to be able to cope with the biggest fears, death. Whats going to  happen with us after this world?, with all that we have built?; in some way, we think or believe in the possibility of being awarded in another life and the terror of death is a  vehicle for that of what we want. A quiet, uncomplicated, smooth and perfect, life "eternal life". These ideas of what will be the eternal life, which is perfect and the way that we will achieve this "award", varies depending on the cultures and subcultures. This phenomenon, I awarded to  the existence of so many religions. Religion is an extremely interesting topic, and of which, each who should know. Regardless of what are your religious ideas. Since this has touched the history of mankind. And all that we are, who we have been, our ideas, our thoughts, where we come from, have been influenced greatly by our religions. We must always be clear,  that  we have always respect the beliefs of others, come together and learn from each other. At the end all religions and philosophical beliefs have in common, the aspiration to the love and peace thrive and finally learn to live all together and happy.

War

The war has been present through all human history, this is not anything other than a conflict between different groups where they face  by imposing one idea. I would say that war is a conflict in which our human nature springs, where we leave aside that social training that makes us "human" and impose our point of view in a more "natural" and selfish way. What  people think about war?, this change with age and the experience of each one. If we ask a 70 year old woman, her vision of the war will be very different than a 20 year old. A 20 year old may see it as an alternative to solve problems, since it is something estrange to their reality. While the 70 year old woman who has gone through conflict as a world war and seeing all suffering, misery and consequences of the war see it as something a little different. In this week's informal interview, I had the opportunity to interview people of different ages, the ranging between 20 to 24 years when I  mention the word "war" told me that the first thing that came to there mind were concepts like greed, interests, poverty and wealth. That it was necessary to solve certain problems. But when I interview my grandmother, who  passed through two dictatorships and the second world war, her vision was some  different, when I spoke to her about war, come to her mind a lot of pain, misery, sadness and ultimately unresolved problems.
I personally see this like something unnecessary. That  brings only pain and sadness. I think that we should be inform about history, trying not to repeat mistakes like the first and second world war. Where some many people died, and there was so much sadness, misery, when at the end  was not resolved anything, or at least, they could solved it, in a different way. Our grandparents should instruct us about the history end the  suffering, anguish that brought to the world those moment of war. World peace is a utopia, to has peace we most has  war, but before the verdict of war we should think for a moment in the blood to every child, in the tears of every mother, in that last farewell of two lovers, in the indelible memories that has been left in  history and find another way to solve our problems.

What should we think about death?

Death

Death, death is  the only thing that we have certainty about  the future, however is what we see more alien to us. We make plans for the future, we dream of tomorrow, but we never stop for a moment to think about the possibility that our last day might be the day that we are living. We know that some unexpected day we are going to die  and not only  us, also the people that we love. But we see it so far from our reality. We left everything for tomorrow, we deprive many times to say what we feel to those we love, to let people know about what we care, what we think, we stop doing what we like, and what makes us happy, because for some reason (unconsciously)  we believe that we  are going to be eternal and think that death is never going to surprise us. Wend I made the informal interview about what people think, when they hear about death wasn't surprised for me, the fact that respondents will remain in suspense  without knowing what to answer. As expected, nobody thought about death or at least nobody stops to draw specific conclusions about this. Frightens us the fact that we  ignore what  will going to happened with us after leaving this world, that often overwhelms us, but that we love so much. It frightens us think that we are not eternal and everything we know, someday, will come to an end. Many of the interviewees answered in a very simple way, saying that death is the end of everything. Other somewhat more religious they told me that it will be the end of this life, but the beginning of another better. Many gave the appearance of feel very comfortable with this and have it accepted as a normal, natural and necessary process. But the vast majority agreed to see it as something frightening, for which we will never be ready.

I analyze often enough about death, who's going to remember me?, who's going to miss me?, when it surprised me I'll be "ready"?. I question my self many things about it, but maybe an unconscious fear doesn't let me go deeper and reach concrete conclusions. I see it as something very far away. Despite being aware that death is a natural process and I think that I'm going be able to confront if someone that i love died, or if it come to me on another unexpected way. The reality is that terrifies us, gives us fear bout the unknown that it is, whats going to  happened with us?, with those we love?. We have to think a bit more on it, in the same way that we plan for the future. Sooner or later the death is going to knock on are door. We need to begin to see it as part of our lives, see as a natural process and begin planning for that day. I think that this will help us to focus better on our purpose, to find reasons to live and get best out of our lives, of what we love,  appreciate what we have and not left everything for a tomorrow, a tomorrow that we don't have the certain that  it will come. While younger or more active in life, we think less about death, or we think that when it comes we will be made, with all compliment, but the reality is that we don't know when we will die. For this reason we must take advantage of the life to the fullest, say what we think, express or love to the people that we love, fight for our dreams, observe the beautiful world that surrounds us that many times we see it ordinary and don't appreciate the beauty that this holds. A Sunrise, sunset, the smell of mornings, a smile of our mother, an embrace of our father, a Sunday with our family, in order to appreciate those things that will not be forever and know to take advantage of them for the day that are no longer able,  we remember them. And take advantage of this life which always brings us  disappointment and frustrations but a lot of beautiful moments and blessings . Life that not be forever, but if we take advantage of it will be satisfied at the time the final surprised us.

What is happiness?

We spend our lives looking for something  that we call happiness and often do not even know what is it. Very few people doesn't  stopped a moment to think about what is   "happiness" .   we lose long parts of our life looking for it,  and all that we do, our goals, our dreams are aiming to make us happy. So what happiness means? to see what people think about. I did an informal poll which interviewed with members of my family, friends, colleagues and strangers. with two questions, that when it comes to listen to them seem simple, but when it comes to answer, we find a complexity that is behind these. What is happiness?,  you're happy at this time?. As expected, when I ask the first question they remained in suspense, incredibly excluding children and preteens that apparently they have very clear, or clearer the concept of happiness. Many adults interviewed  focused their happiness on material things like money, their own home our debts to pay. This gives us a lot of things to think about,  they could be the reflection of a large part of the population, Where the chaotic life that we live, where we need to fight every day to get our resources to survive, It prohibits us the right to  happiness. Our life became limited to work hard to eat,  to pay debts, to survive and we only have space to dream with the day that we will be happy . One the day that never comes. When I asked if they were happy the vast majority answered that they was not, or was  only in sometimes. On the other hand many people after the money indicated that to be happy they need more tranquility, union in their family  and more affection, time with people who love, complete there goals and professionals dreams. Children are much less complicated indicating that happiness was smiling and many preteens see the happiness to be with their friends and or family. Something particularly curious and that give us so much to think about.

In a Subjective opinion, happiness isn't more than episodes in our lives where we forget many sorrows and worries for a moment we become "happy". For me Happiness is that smile that someone gives us in the morning, or that Cup of coffee, see the person that we love, or a hug from a friend,  see someone special to our lives, receive good news. I would say that the absolute happiness does not exist, the happiness are those wonderful episodes that make up our days and in which we take refuge to be able to continue the difficult path of life. We should stop to think in absolute happiness that never arrived, the reality is that life is made up of many feelings. we need to know what sadness is to recognize happiness . The really key of happiness is  not overlook the reason for any smile, because those moments, often composed of few seconds, in the end that moment result the reason of our lives, for what we live, what  which makes the life special.
