Celebrity

The theme of this week are celebrities. I instead choose a celebrity or do an interview of what people think about those people that we make famous. I gave the task of analyze, why these people, normal and common as any of us, have the power to make us spend our money, lost our time and wish their lives. When we are in the supermarket, when we walk down the street, when we are in our homes watching television or listen to the radio, we are constantly bombarded by different common people that many see as gods. We wish their hair, their clothes, their houses and in more extreme cases often we would like to be  like them. What makes these people's life be more valuable than ours?. We are not happy with who we are?, because if it is in this way, we have very serious problems of self-esteem. Or is it more like admiration?, then if it is it, can we admire a person to feel less  and wish uncontrollably, spending our money and hours of life to want the lives of others. Well, suppose that it is rather a simple admiration. Because these people, perhaps can buy things that many wish?. Or they receive attention, desire, admiration and importance that we want?. That admiration and fame that often we give to different types of people, for stupid things, is not something of today . Through history there have been different types of famous people, that somehow it became ridiculously admired. This "admiration" indisputably leads us to want to be like them. To become obsessed to the point of resorting to a plastic surgery to obtain silhouette of Jennifer López, or the lips of Angelina Jolie. Or we spend hundreds of dollars trying to transform our hair that  had that actress in the last interview. Or change our closet each season to imitate their style of dress, their combinations, that automatically becomes ours.

Admire in a  obsessive way a  celebrities is something really  worrying. When we leave our life to live the life of others, where is our essence?. Where we leave what we really like, and  our creativity?. We become puppets, imitating absolutely everything. They manipulate us and become millionaires at the expense of our pocket. Are their ideas, acts and favorites are  better than ours?.  I think that we have to analyze what we are doing. Let dress like the artist on the cover of that magazine, for the simple fact that she is famous, when you can have your own style, your own hair, your own forms of acting, thinking...your own life. You can admire those who do good things but, not obsessed with the lives of others and forgetting who we are. Focus on our life and stop to aspire to be like a celebrity. Stop dreaming about their lives and give value and importance to those who we really are.

Media

We know as media to the varied information presented by radio, television, newspaper, magazines and press. That somehow touches us,  influences us, built our personalities, instructs us, inform  or many times also misinforms us. Currently the media  becomes part of our lives, influencing us in different ways from very early ages. So our ideologies, aspirations and beliefs as a society are based somewhat on the information it has presented through history. There are few criticisms and investigations that arise against and in favor of the effect of this on society. Many, thank the media for the availability of information and communication that it provides. Others make it responsible for many modern ills. This week rather than conduct an informal interview, I met with a group of college classmates which presented their vision about the media. They presented several factors, both positive and negative. Once more went afloat, the advantage of communication that it give to us, the availability of information and access to news and the global connection. But were the vast majority disagree with the way that they distort reality, information. Many times take things in context. The advertising, which makes us very often compulsive. And the  public information that presents to our young people and children under the age of 18.

In subjective opinion media is a great way to keep in touch with the rest of the world. Affordable to information, news, ideas and cultures of others. Uniting us, giving us the opportunity to share ideas, visions, ways of life with the rest of the world. But many times, the same way the information provided by the media is used incorrectly or not so good things or tools are shared. Keeps us attached to the outside and often us away from our nearest reality. It distorts reality, causing very serious consequences. But despite this it still has the merit of how much we've grown as society by globalization. And I would say that it is our responsibility to reassess our media, and somehow modify what is hurting us.

Marriage

My parent's Wedding

We know as marriage to the union between two  people for a contractual relationship recognized by law, religion, or society.  This is carry out through a religious, cultural, philosophical or legal rite. This will depend on the culture, circumstances and beliefs of each one. Marriage for the spouses, brings a series of responsibilities, rights and social duties. Through history it has a number of religious, economic, political and social purpose. In the informal interview this week, I realized that making a general conclusion about what people think of marriage, it is not easy. Since each person has a quite particular idea about marriage. The idea and importance that is given to this, changes with age, social and religious circumstances of each person. For example, you could see a bit of difference between the young and adults people. Where the young see  it only as part of a tradition, cultural and ancient act,  that is  irrelevant to many things. In other way, adult see it  as a  unquestionably needed act for the formalization of a family. However is curious how through  the years has become a more cheerful, celebrated and happy activity , but at the same time more fragile and optional.

In subjective opinion, the marriage is nothing more than a cultural event and this precisely gives  it "importance". Moreover, in what love it is concerned, I don't see it as a necessary act to make two people love, respect and endure one another. I would say that the idea of marriage has already changed between the young people of the last generations. The social circumstances has prompted them to be a bit less structured than past generations. In addition the actual circumstances,  prompted us to focus a little more in our self. To be more practical. We like the changed, the new and fast, we are more relative and a little more "changing". This could be another explanation  for what the ideas about marriage have been changing. Generations change together with the ideas, religions, traditions and culture. It is not a surprise that the idea of marriage changes and continue changing in response to the cultural evolution of the generations.

Religion

If we study the history of mankind we realize that since its inception, we have distinguished ourselves by religions. From our ancestors we have believed for some reason or another in the life after death and in Supreme beings. Who we are, where we come from? where are we going?. These are questions that have led us to form different religions and belief in Supreme beings. The human is  religious by nature. But whats  leads us to be religious? What is religion? Why this is so important for us.?; These are interesting questions that I did this week in my informal interview; This can be a very open, very abstract and very general topic. Each one has its peculiar response. For many, their religion is something very sacred, untouchable, the reason for her life, the reason for its existence. For what they do everything. Many others saw religion as something more external to our "nature", as other passion of man such as sport and politics. Regardless of the ideas that they have about the religions must be clear that the human is a very religious being,  an this is so important and significant in our history. The idea of religion varies depending on social circumstances behind us . And they  are so many young people and adults as an idea of what  is religion.

For me religion is the comfort that man needs to be able to cope with the biggest fears, death. Whats going to  happen with us after this world?, with all that we have built?; in some way, we think or believe in the possibility of being awarded in another life and the terror of death is a  vehicle for that of what we want. A quiet, uncomplicated, smooth and perfect, life "eternal life". These ideas of what will be the eternal life, which is perfect and the way that we will achieve this "award", varies depending on the cultures and subcultures. This phenomenon, I awarded to  the existence of so many religions. Religion is an extremely interesting topic, and of which, each who should know. Regardless of what are your religious ideas. Since this has touched the history of mankind. And all that we are, who we have been, our ideas, our thoughts, where we come from, have been influenced greatly by our religions. We must always be clear,  that  we have always respect the beliefs of others, come together and learn from each other. At the end all religions and philosophical beliefs have in common, the aspiration to the love and peace thrive and finally learn to live all together and happy.
